The Toronto Marlies (18-11-2-1) take on the Utica Comets (11-17-1-2) for the Comets’ first visit to Ricoh Coliseum in franchise history. This will be the second of 6 match-ups between the two teams this season. The last time the Marlies and the Comets met was on November 5th in Utica when the Marlies defeated the Comets in a convincing 5-2 victory.

The Comets last hit the ice yesterday where they dropped a 5-2 decision at home against the Rochester Americans. Kellan Lain and Pascal Pelletier each scored for Utica. Pelletier currently leads the team with 27 points over 27 games.

The Marlies last game was a 6-3 loss on Friday evening to the Syracuse Crunch at home. Carter Ashton, Andrew Crescenzi and Mike Duco scored for the Marlies in the defeat. With 39 points, the Marlies currently have a 4 point lead in the North Division over the second place Lake Erie Monsters.
