The Toronto Marlies fell to the Texas Stars by a score of 5-2 Saturday evening at Cedar Park Center in Texas.

Brett Ritchie opened the scoring for the Stars at 14:51 of the first period. The Marlies would tie it just 31 seconds into the second thanks to Spencer Abbott’s second goal of the season. Toronto vs Texas - Ryan Hamilton

Marlies close out their home stand on Sunday.

Well… sort of.

As of Sunday, Toronto will play their fourth consecutive game at Ricoh Coliseum as they host the Texas Stars. And although their next game is away from home, you can’t exactly say they ‘hit the road.’ After four straight at home, the Marlies head to Hamilton for a game on the 12th, followed by two more at home. After a big win in Houston yesterday, the Marlies look to do it all over again as they hit up Austin tonight.

Well maybe not exactly like yesterday. You see, the Marlies ended up scoring four third period goals in the come-from-behind win, as they started the frame down 4-2.
