The Toronto Marlies are in St. John’s to take on the IceCaps in the first of back to back games on Tuesday evening at the Mile One Centre. This will be the first of four match-ups between the two teams this season. Last year, the Marlies went 3-0-0-1 against the IceCaps in the season series.

This evening’s match-up will mark the 3rd of 4th meetings between the two teams. The Marlies currently lead the season series 2-0. Their last meeting was on Sunday, December 15th where the Marlies defeated the IceCaps 3-2.

The Toronto Marlies (13-9-1-0) take on the St. John’s IceCaps (15-10-1-2) at Ricoh Coliseum today at 3pm. This will be the second of four match-ups between the two teams this season and the final match-up at home against the IceCaps for the Marlies this year.

The Marlies are guaranteed the second spot in the West regardless of how this game ends. With no disrespect to past teams, the rosters of the past two playoff-bound Marlies squads have been arguably the best since the club left St. John’s.
