After a weekend off, the Toronto Marlies and Texas Stars return to the ice for Game 2 of the Calder Cup Western Conference Finals at Cedar Park Center. Puck drop is at 8:30pm live on LeafsTV.

The Marlies currently lead the series 1-0 after a 5-1 victory over the Stars in Texas on Friday night. Brandon Kozun opened the scoring for the Marlies while T.J. Brennan and Peter Holland scored just 13 seconds apart in the second period. Drew MacIntyre made 49 saves in the Marlies winning effort.

The Toronto Marlies return to the ice as their Western Conference Semi-Final series versus the Chicago Wolves continues tonight at Ricoh Coliseum.

The Marlies currently lead the series 2-0 after taking a pair of victories in Chicago this past weekend. Peter Holland had 4 points over the two games in his return to the Marlies line-up, while Jerry D’Amigo continues to lead the team and the League in scoring with 9 points over 5 games.

It’s fitting that he notched his first ever career home run less than a mile from Ricoh Coliseum (don’t believe me, look it up), for members of the Marlies will all be looking to channel their inner bambino to hit another one out of the park in game six. Toronto vs Grand Rapids - Carter Ashton

It’s all about one game.

If you win one you still have to win another. You have to do it 15 times before you’re given the ultimate prize. But neither Toronto nor Grand Rapids have done that yet. Each of them still have to win the next game. And then the one after.

As long as there’s a game to play there remains the ability to win. And as the Marlies head into a game which holds in the balance the remainder of their season, it will be their ability to win ...
