I think it’s time for a little off-season update.

After the long run to the Calder Cup finals, the Marlies parted ways and headed back to their respective home towns. For a few, like defenceman Simon Gysbers and hard-nosed forward Will Acton, it meant only a trip up highway 404.

Others, like #feardabeard zealot Jerry D’Amigo, headed south across the border to their States-side home while still more ventured to western Canada, like netminder Ben Scrivens, who most likely drove his Chevy pickup all the way home. Knowing the Spruce Grove, Alberta, ...

Experiencing a trip to the Western Conference finals in the American Hockey League and in historical fashion announcing the Marlies as champs set up the chance to cap an unbelievable year with a trip to the Calder Cup finals. Although finishing the 2011-2012 AHL campaign short of their goal (Calder Cup championship) the Toronto Marlies had a season like none witnessed before. Here is a look back to some memorable occasions experienced during an incredible run for Toronto hockey fans.

It all started with a challenge.

You remember Monika with a K, right? 

It was a showdown between her and I; mono y mono. Which one of us could meet more of Leafs Nation.

There was a catch though, there always is.
