So here we go, one more game and we will have all made it through our first three-in-three of the season. The more of these I experience, the more respect I gain for the players.

Thankfully for us all, this is one of only five this season. So we’re 20% of the way through.

Sunday brings with it a game against the Grand Rapids Griffins – AHL affiliate to the Detroit Red Wings. This is one of four meetings between the two clubs, half as many as last season as the Griffins ...

Toronto vs Hamilton -

As Toronto prepares to host Hamilton for the first time this season, they also search for their first points against the QEW rival.

The Bulldogs took game one of the home-and-home set on Friday by a score of 4-1, notching three unanswered tallies before Toronto posted one. Louis Leblanc, playing on a line with former Marlies forward Darryl Boyce, scored a pair of goals.

Toronto vs. Hamilton - Joe Colborne

The AHL season doesn’t really feel like the AHL season until the first edition of the AHL Battle of Ontario. And while we had to wait until early December last season, both Hamilton and Toronto will host the other this weekend.

Toronto vs Rochester - Jerry D'Amigo

You’ve waited long enough, you may have the hockey season back now.

We are all just a little spoiled, don’t you think? We were able to root for a team right through the middle of June. That said, the symptoms associated with mid-August hockey withdrawal didn’t seem any less torturous. Making us all that much more appreciative that hockey is back at Ricoh.

This should make for a fun season.

The Marlies start right where they finished last season; at home. With the opening of the 2012/13 season, Toronto will play host to ...

Toronto vs Hamilton - Ben Scrivens

Two games in three days reminds us all that the hockey season is back.

Especially when the calendar reads five days until the Toronto Marlies home opener against the Rochester Americans.

But until points start counting in the standings, the Marlies have one last game to tinker with the roster and make the decisions necessary to fill those final few holes in the lineup. Dallas Eakins will cycle out some of those who helped lift the club to a victory in Cobourg on Saturday in the first of a two-game set against ...
