It’s a busy weekend for the Toronto Marlies (41-22-2-4) as they close out a three-in-three weekend as they hit the ice this afternoon against the Utica Comets (31-29-4-4) at 3pm. The last time these two teams met was this past Friday, where the Comets defeated the Marlies in a convincing 5-1 victory. The Marlies will once again be looking to secure the North Division championship with a win this afternoon.

The Americans hosted the Binghamton Senators last night where they came away with a 4-3 victory, winning their second game in a row to keep their pursuit of the playoffs alive. With the win, the Americans are one point out of eighth place for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

The Toronto Marlies (41-20-2-4) are in Utica tonight to face the Comets (30-29-4-4) at 7pm for their fourth of six match-ups this season. The last time the Comets and Marlies met was on February 16th in a 2-1 Marlies loss.
The Comets last game was on Sunday where they defeated the Iowa Wild 3-2. Pascal Pelletier had a three point night, while goaltender Joe Cannata made 32 saves. The Comets currently sit in third place in the North Division and are 5 points out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

You can’t show up the day before…though for the Marlies there was no shortage of trying…you have to be with the team the moment they snap the photo. Now whatever happens to you after or before matters very little.
