The American Hockey League announced their roster today for the 2014 AHL All-Star Classic, which will take place on February 11-12 in St. John’s. T.J. Brennan will be representing the Marlies on this year’s squad as they take on Färjestad BK of the Swedish Hockey League in both the Skills Competition and All-Star game.

The Toronto Marlies (18-11-2-1) take on the Utica Comets (11-17-1-2) for the Comets’ first visit to Ricoh Coliseum in franchise history. This will be the second of 6 match-ups between the two teams this season. This will be the first of two match-ups between the two teams this season. Last season, the Marlies went 1-1 against the Crunch. The SiriusXM Hockeytown Winter Festival has come and gone and it was an event to remember. Not only did the Marlies defeat the Grand Rapids Griffins in an exciting 4-3 shootout win (you can read the recap and watch the highlights here), but the #SEAofBLUE and Marlies fans were out in full force representing Toronto loud and proud as evidenced by the persistent “Go Leafs Go!” and “Let’s Go Marlies” chants throughout Comerica Park during the game.
