The Toronto Marlies (12-8-1-0) host the Hamilton Bulldogs (10-10-0-3) this afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum in Round 5 of The AHL’s Battle of Ontario. The Toronto Marlies fell 2-1 to the Lake Erie Monsters on Thursday night at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
Troy Bodie opened the scoring at 19:01 of the first period off of a T.J. Brennan point shot eight seconds into a Toronto power play. Byran Lerg tied the game for the Monsters at 4:43 of the second period on the power play. The Monsters would score a shorthanded goal in the third period from Matt Hunwick to seal the victory.
