The Toronto Marlies fell 2-1 to the Lake Erie Monsters on Thursday night at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
Troy Bodie opened the scoring at 19:01 of the first period off of a T.J. Brennan point shot eight seconds into a Toronto power play. Byran Lerg tied the game for the Monsters at 4:43 of the second period on the power play. The Monsters would score a shorthanded goal in the third period from Matt Hunwick to seal the victory.
Next up, the Marlies return home this Saturday, December 7th to host the Hamilton Bulldogs in their annual Teddy Bear Toss game. Bring a new or gently used stuffed animal to the game and when the Marlies score their first goal, throw the toy onto the ice. All stuffed animals will be collected and donated to charity.
