The Toronto Marlies fell to the Lake Erie Monsters by a score of 3-1 on Thursday evening at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
After a scoreless first period, Josh Leivo opened up the scoring for the Marlies for the third game in a row at 11:16 of the second period. Bryan Lerg would tie it for the Monsters on a power play at 15:57 of the second frame. The Monsters jumped to a 2-1 lead when Paul Carey scored for the Monsters, once again on the man advantage in the third period. Gabriel Beaupre would score at 18:24 of the third period to secure the 3-1 Monsters victory.
The Toronto Marlies are back on the ice when they return home on Saturday, November 16th to host the Charlotte Checkers, AHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes, at Ricoh Coliseum.
