The Toronto Marlies (19-11-2-1) are in St. John’s to take on the IceCaps (18-14-1-2) in the first of 7 games on the road for the Marlies. This evening’s match-up will mark the 3rd of 4th meetings between the two teams. The Marlies currently lead the season series 2-0. Their last meeting was on Sunday, December 15th where the Marlies defeated the IceCaps 3-2.

The IceCaps are coming off of a 4-2 win over the Portland Pirates at home. Carl Klingberg had two goals in the victory and Eddie Pasquale made 28 saves in the victory. Eric O’Dell continues to lead the team in scoring with 29 points over 28 games. The IceCaps currently sit third in the Atlantic Division.

The Marlies are coming off of a 5-2 win at home against the Utica Comets last Saturday, January 4th. Josh Leivo had two goals in the victory while Greg McKegg recorded two assists. With 41 points, the Marlies continue to sit on top of the North Division.
