The Toronto Marlies (4-2-0-0) are back on the ice at Ricoh Coliseum today at 5pm to take on the Rochester Americans (3-2-1-0), in their first visit to Toronto this season. The last time these two teams met was in Rochester on October 18th, where the Marlies suffered their first loss of the season in a 4-1 defeat. This will mark the first visit to Toronto for former Marlie Mike Zigomanis since signing in Rochester in the off-season.
The Americans come into Ricoh Coliseum with a record of 3-2-1-0 on the season and are third in the North Division. Last night, the Americans were in Hamilton taking on the Bulldogs where they lost 4-3 in overtime. Luke Adam, the team’s leading goal scorer had his sixth goal in six games in the loss.
The Marlies last game was a 3-2 loss on Wednesday evening to the Rockford IceHogs. Greg McKegg and Carter Ashton both scored their second goals of the season in the loss and Spencer Abbott notched two points in the game.
