The Toronto Marlies (44-24-2-4) are in Utica to take on the Comets (33-32-5-4) in their final match-up this season and their final road game of the regular season tonight at 7pm on AHL Live. The last time these two teams met was on Sunday, April 6th at home, where the Marlies defeated the Comets 3-2. The victory clinched the North Division title for the third straight year for the Marlies.

The Comets were officially eliminated from playoff contention after a 4-1 loss to the Rochester Americans on Wednesday evening. David Marshall was the lone scorer for the Comets. The Marlies currently lead the season series 3-2.

The Marlies are coming off of a 5-4 OT win over the Binghamton Senators on Wednesday night in Binghamton. Stuart Percy had 2 goals in the victory while T.J. Brennan had three points in the game that included the game-winning goal in OT. With 72 points, Brennan continues to lead the team in scoring and was also named the AHL’s Defenceman of the Year on Wednesday.
