The Toronto Marlies (8-6-1-0) will once again take on the Charlotte Checkers (5-9-0-1) this evening at Ricoh Coliseum. The two teams faced each other this past Saturday at Ricoh Coliseum where the Marlies defeated the Checkers 4-1.

Including the Saturday loss to the Marlies, the Checkers have dropped 6 games in a row and currently sit last in the West Division. The Checkers currently have a road record of 5-3-1.

The Marlies are coming off of a 3-2 victory over the Texas Stars on Sunday. Jamie Devane and Korbinian Holzer both scored their first goals of the season in the win while Sam Carrick had the shootout winner.
