The Toronto Marlies (12-8-1-0) host the Hamilton Bulldogs (10-10-0-3) this afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum in Round 5 of The AHL’s Battle of Ontario. The Marlies have a record of 3-0-1 against the Bulldogs so far this season. The last time these two teams met was on November 1st, where the Marlies defeated the Bulldogs 3-1 in Hamilton.
The Bulldogs are coming off of a 4-1 loss to the Lake Erie Monsters in Cleveland last night, allowing three power play goals in the loss. Forward Maxime Macenauer scored the lone goal for Hamilton. Martin St. Pierre currently leads the team in scoring with 19 points over 20 games. With a record of 10-10-0-3, the Bulldogs currently sit 4th in the North Division.
The Marlies last game was on Thursday evening, also against the Lake Erie Monsters in Cleveland where they fell 2-1. Troy Bodie had the only tally for the Marlies. T.J. Brennan notched an assist on the goal and continues to lead the Marlies in scoring with 23 points. Toronto currently sits atop the North Division with 25 points.
