The Toronto Marlies (11-7-1-0) are back on the ice this afternoon to host North Division rivals the Rochester Americans (9-7-2-2) at Ricoh Coliseum. This will be the third of 8 match-ups between the two teams this season. The Americans currently lead the season series 2-0.

The Americans are coming off of a 5-3 victory over the Lake Erie Monsters at home on Friday night. Johan Larsson had two points in the win while Nathan Lieuwen won his second straight game, making 33 saves. The win puts the Americans in second place in the North Division, sitting just one point behind the Marlies for first.

Last night, the Marlies were in Hamilton taking on the Bulldogs where they skated away with a 3-1 victory. Jerry D’Amigo, Josh Leivo and Sam Carrick all had 2 points on the night, while David Broll scored his first goal of the season, which also stood as the game winner. Spencer Abbott had an assist and is on a 3-game point streak.

Puck drop is at 3pm, catch all of the action on RogersTV and TSN1050. Don’t forget to follow the official Marlies Twitter account (@TorontoMarlies) and join us for the #MarliesLive live chat.
