The Toronto Marlies (40-20-2-4) will face the Abbotsford Heat (37-24-5-2) this afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum for their final match-up this season. The Marlies and Heat last faced off last Sunday on March 23rd, where the Marlies defeated Abbotsford 3-2.

The Heat roll into town following a 7-2 victory over the Comets in Utica, scoring 5 goals in the second period alone. Today’s match-up against the Marlies will be compete a six-game road trip for the Heat. With a record of 37-24-5-2 and 81 points, the Heat currently sit second in the West Division.


Today’s match-up will be the third game in three days for the Marlies. Yesterday, the team fell 2-1 to the Iowa Wild in the shootout. Peter Holland scored the lone goal for the Marlies will Spencer Abbott continues to lead the team in scoring.
