The Western Conference Finals of the Calder Cup playoffs kicks off tonight with the Toronto Marlies and Texas Stars facing off in Texas, live on LeafsTV at 8:30pm.

The Stars eliminated the Grand Rapids Griffins in six games in Round 2 to advance to the Western Conference Finals. The team finished the AHL regular season 1st in the Western Conference with 106 points and 48 wins. Travis Morin lead the league in scoring with 88 points over 66 games played. He also currently leads the Stars in playoff scoring with 10 points over 9 games.

The Marlies completed their second sweep of this year’s playoffs after defeating the Chicago Wolves in four straight games. The Marlies took the deciding game in a 4-0 shutout with Sam Carrick, Carter Ashton and Korbinian Holzer notching two points each in the victory. Jerry D’Amigo continues to lead the team in playoff scoring with 12 points over 7 games played.

The Stars and Marlies met 4 times over the course of the regular season, and split the season series 2-2, with both teams earning a pair of victories at home. The Stars outscored the Marlies 14-7 over the course of the 4 games. Check out this infographic for a full breakdown of the season series.

    Is there anyway of watching the Marlies on TV other than Leafs TV? Also my buddy Mark Bell use to play for the Toronto Marlies & Toronto Maple Leafs & That’s how i got into watching the Toronto Marlies is because of Mark Bell,great hockey.

      Type “watch sports live free ” in google and you will find some links to watch the marlies play, It’s not always great quality but sometimes you will find a decent stream.
