The Toronto Marlies (26-15-2-2) will be taking on the San Antonio Rampage (17-21-3-4) today at 11 am for their very first School Day Game this season. This will be the third of four match-ups between the Marlies and Rampage this season, with the Marlies collecting victories in the two meetings against the Rampage so far this year.
The last time these two teams met was also the last time the Rampage hit the ice, last week on Friday, January 31st in a penalty-filled showdown in San Antonio. The Marlies skated away with a 4-3 victory in overtime, coming back from a 3-1 deficit. Brandon Kozun had three points in the victory, including the overtime winner and was named the game’s first star.
The Marlies are coming off of a 6-0 shutout against the Texas Stars that capped off a three-in-three on the road that brought them to three different cities in as many days. Today’s match-up versus San Antonio will be the start of a 10-game home stand for the Marlies.
