After starting the season at home and going 3-0, the Marlies will look to extend their win streak as they play in their first road game of the season this evening in Rochester against the Americans.

The Americans are currently fourth in the North Division with a record of 1-2 over 3 games. Their last outing was a 5-1 loss against the Syracuse Crunch. Forward Luke Adam currently leads the team with 3 goals.

Meanwhile, the Marlies are coming off a 6-3 win over the St. John’s IceCaps last Saturday at Ricoh Coliseum. Defenceman T.J. Brennan notched his second hat trick of the season and currently leads the team with 10 points over three games.

This will be the first of 10 meetings between the two division rivals and also marks the first match-up between the Marlies and their all-time assist leader, Mike Zigomanis. Zigomanis spent three seasons with the Marlies before signing in Rochester during the off-season. Last season, the Marlies went 9-1 against the Americans. The last time these two teams met was on May 1st, 2013, during Round 1 of the 2013 Calder Cup Playoffs where the Marlies won 3-2 and eliminated the Americans from the post-season.
