The Toronto Marlies (36-19-2-3) are in Cleveland to face the Lake Erie Monsters (26-28-0-6) for the final time this season tonight at 7pm ET. The last time these two teams met was on Saturday, March 8th at Ricoh Coliseum where the Marlies defeated the Monsters 4-1.

The Monsters last hit the ice on Sunday in a 3-2 win over the Charlotte Checkers on the road. With 58 points, the Monsters are currently 4th in the North Division. The last two meetings between the Marlies and Monsters have been rather feisty affairs, with over 300 penalty minutes doled out between the two teams over two games.

The Marlies are coming off of a 4-1 victory over the Hamilton Bulldogs this past Sunday at home. Greg McKegg had two goals in the victory, while Christopher Gibson made 33 saves. Spencer Abbott had two assists and continues to lead the team in scoring with 66 points over 57 games played.

Puck drop is at 7:00 pm ET, catch all of the action on AHL Live. Don’t forget to follow the official Marlies Twitter account (@TorontoMarlies) and join us for the #MarliesLive live chat. We’ll be looking for the #MarliesLive Tweet of the Night and the winner will take home a Marlies third jersey. There’s just a few rules and regs you need to know about so read them here.
