The Toronto Marlies (12-8-1-0) host the Hamilton Bulldogs (10-10-0-3) this afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum in Round 5 of The AHL’s Battle of Ontario. The Marlies have a record of 3-0-1 against the Bulldogs so far this season. The last time these two teams met was on November 1st, where the Marlies defeated the Bulldogs 3-1 in Hamilton.

T.J. Brennan fondly remembers his childhood teddy bear.

Each year, thousands of bears are left neglected in toy boxes and shelves all across the country. This Saturday, we’re asking Marlies fans to help us find a bear a good home at the Marlies annual Teddy Bear Toss game. This will be the fourth year that the Marlies will be hosting the Teddy Bear Toss, and we need YOUR HELP to top the 2000 bears that we collected last year.

The Toronto Marlies fell 2-1 to the Lake Erie Monsters on Thursday night at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.

Troy Bodie opened the scoring at 19:01 of the first period off of a T.J. Brennan point shot eight seconds into a Toronto power play. Byran Lerg tied the game for the Monsters at 4:43 of the second period on the power play. The Monsters would score a shorthanded goal in the third period from Matt Hunwick to seal the victory.

The Toronto Marlies (12-7-1-0) are in Lake Erie to take on the Monsters (10-9-0-1) for a divisional match-up tonight at 7pm. This will be the third match-ups between the two teams this season. The last time the Monsters and Marlies met was on November 14th, where the Marlies fell to the Monsters 3-1 in Cleveland.

The Toronto Marlies (9-7-1-0) are back in action tonight as they take on the San Antonio Rampage (9-8-0-1) at AT & T Center in San Antonio.

The Rampage are coming off of a 4-3 shootout victory over the Texas Stars on Friday evening.  Jed Ortmeyer scored the winner in the seventh round to give San Antonio their third shootout victory this season. Vincent Trocheck currently leads the Rampage in scoring with 18 points over 18 games. The Rampage currently sit 3rd in the West Division.

The Toronto Marlies (9-6-1-0) are in Texas to take on the Texas Stars (9-6-2-2-) tonight at the Cedar Park Center. The last time these two teams met was on Sunday, November 17th when the Marlies defeated the Stars 3-2 in a shootout. After 10 rounds and 20 shooters, Sam Carrick notched the winner for the Marlies.

This past Tuesday, Dave Andrews, Dave Poulin and Steve Spott announced that the Marlies will be playing Färjestad BK of the Swedish Hockey League on Saturday, February 15th in an exhibition game as part of this year’s AHL All-Star Festivities. Färjestad will also be facing this year’s AHL All-Star team during the AHL All-Star Classic in St. John’s on February 11th and 12th.

The Toronto Marlies (8-6-1-0) will once again take on the Charlotte Checkers (5-9-0-1) this evening at Ricoh Coliseum. The two teams faced each other this past Saturday at Ricoh Coliseum where the Marlies defeated the Checkers 4-1.

Including the Saturday loss to the Marlies, the Checkers have dropped 6 games in a row and currently sit last in the West Division. The Checkers currently have a road record of 5-3-1.
