The Toronto Marlies (20-11-2-2) take on the Iowa Wild (15-16-2-2), AHL affiliate of the Minneosta Wild, for the first time in franchise history tonight at 8pm ET at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Minnesota. This will be the first of two meetings between the two teams this season.

The Toronto Marlies (20-11-2-1) will face the St. John’s IceCaps (18-25-1-2) in their final match-up of the season tonight in St. John’s.

The Marlies have  won all 3 previous meetings between the two teams, including last night’s tilt at Mile One Centre where the Marlies emerged with a 3-2 victory. Sam Carrick had the game winner last night and Peter Holland scored his first goal with the Marlies this season. With the victory, Toronto continues to hold onto top spot in the North Division.

The Toronto Marlies (19-11-2-1) are in St. John’s to take on the IceCaps (18-14-1-2) in the first of 7 games on the road for the Marlies. This evening’s match-up will mark the 3rd of 4th meetings between the two teams. The Marlies currently lead the season series 2-0. Their last meeting was on Sunday, December 15th where the Marlies defeated the IceCaps 3-2.

The American Hockey League announced their roster today for the 2014 AHL All-Star Classic, which will take place on February 11-12 in St. John’s. T.J. Brennan will be representing the Marlies on this year’s squad as they take on Färjestad BK of the Swedish Hockey League in both the Skills Competition and All-Star game.

The Toronto Marlies are now 18-10-2-1 (39pts) and are currently first place in the North Division (3rd in Western Conference)
The Toronto Marlies earned back-to-back wins over the Grand Rapids Griffins this past week, including a 4-3 victory @ Comerica Park in Detroit
The Marlies will play Back to Back Home games this weekend before hitting the road for ten of their next Twelve games

The Toronto Marlies (18-10-2-1) will host the Syracuse Crunch (13-14-1-3) tonight at Ricoh Coliseum in their first game of 2014. This will be the first of two match-ups between the two teams this season. Last season, the Marlies went 1-1 against the Crunch. Their last meeting was on March 6th, 2013 where the Marlies won in a convincing 6-3 victory.

The SiriusXM Hockeytown Winter Festival has come and gone and it was an event to remember. Not only did the Marlies defeat the Grand Rapids Griffins in an exciting 4-3 shootout win (you can read the recap and watch the highlights here), but the #SEAofBLUE and Marlies fans were out in full force representing Toronto loud and proud as evidenced by the persistent “Go Leafs Go!” and “Let’s Go Marlies” chants throughout Comerica Park during the game.
