This will be the final meeting between the two teams of this storied rivalry, as the Bulldogs will be moving to St. John’s starting next season. Today will also be Canadian Women’s Hockey Day at Ricoh Coliseum with members of the Toronto Furies of the CWHL in attendance.

The Toronto Marlies return to the ice on Saturday at 3pm when they host the Rochester Americans on RogersTV. This will be the 7th of 10 match-ups between the two teams this season.

Rochester is coming off of a 4-2 loss to the Utica Comets last night on the road. Evan Rankin notched his 100th AHL point with a goal in the loss. Tim Schaller leads the team in scoring with 40 points. With 56 points, the Americans currently sit in 13th in the Western Conference.

The Toronto Marlies will host their inaugural Star Wars Night tonight at 7pm as they face the Lake Erie Monsters on AHL Live. In partnership with Toronto ComiCon, the Marlies are encouraging fans to dress up as their favourite characters in a celebration of fandom to kick off Toronto ComiCon weekend. $5 from every ticket sold through Toronto ComiCon will be going to SickKids Foundation.The 501st Legion Canadian Garrison will be in attendance to meet with fans, with Star Wars themed programming and giveaways in-game.
